Exchanging Driving License Through a Gestor

Exchanging Driving License Through a Gestor

If you want to exchange your Driving Licence for a Spanish one but you don’t want to waste your time following a step by step guide and going to the Traffic Office to deal with the Spanish red-tape, queueing etc… We are here to manage this on your behalf.  Our service is complete, you won’t need to go anywhere, except for the medical test, only in the event that is mandatory, which is not always the case.

You won’t need to get to your nearest Traffic Office, we will act on your behalf because as registered gestors we are allowed to do so. We are authorised to operate in any Spanish province.

If you are from the UK it is mandatory that you’ve submitted the pre-registration in the Traffic Office before the 31st of December 2020.

If you didn’t manage the preregistration on time, you can send us a message and we will include you in our mail-list to make you aware you if the UK and Spain come to a new agreement which will allow you to make the exchange.

If you are not from the UK, you will need to start the process of exchanging from zero. We will make the process easy and smooth for you to do so.

At the time of publishing this, the Spanish authorities have an agreement to exchange Driving Licences from all countries on the European Union or European Economic Area countries.

There are other countries that have agreements with Spain related to driving licenses, which are the following: Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Macedonia, Morocco, Peru, Philippines, Paraguay, Serbia, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uruguay and Venezuela.

If the country or the state that issued your driving licence does not have an agreement with Spain, then you have to take all the examinations needed to get a Spanish Driving License. For example if you come from the USA.

You have to exchange your Driving Licence in Spain if you are living here legally for six months. If you don’t manage it into that period, unfortunately, you will be an illegal driver in Spain.

However, if your plans are to stay less than six months, and your country is part of any agreement signed with the Kingdom of Spain, you should not have any trouble to continue using the one you got from your country in Spain.

If you are not sure whether your license is allowed in Spain, you can get a one-year international driving permit, which is another service we can provide.

If you want more information about this service, all you have to do is to send us your contact details on the form beside these lines and we will be in touch with detailed information about the paperwork we need, how to proceed, our fees, etc.
